Let me tell you a little about myself. I've been making veterinary house calls for more than 30 years and have been here in Sarasota since 1989. I have found that home visits have many benefits for all dogs and cats and their owners.
You and your pet will find that a house call is relaxed and unhurried, and that we'll spend much more time together than you would in a typical veterinary hospital exam room. This stress and anxiety free approach is wonderful for pets of all ages and especially important with new puppies and kittens as well as older animal companions.
I have a B.S. from Cornell University and D.V.M. degree from the University of Bologna, Italy. After a working in a private small animal practice, I completed a residency at the Henry Bergh Hospital of the ASPCA in New York City.
I first established Animal Housecall Service in 1978 in Westchester County, New York. In 1989 I moved to Sarasota with my wife and 9 year old son and resumed making house calls here.
Numerous articles about me and my practice have appeared in local newspaper and magazines and in The New York Times. I am a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association as well as The Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association (formerly The Association of Veterinarians for Animal Rights.)
I believe you'll enjoy the benefits of in-home veterinary care and I'm looking forward to meeting you and your animal friends. - Dr. G.
